Miracle of the Rosary Mission

The Miracle of the Rosary Mission has launched a strategic plan in accomplishing certain common goals that are shared by many. This plan involves participating with others in the Hearts of Jesus and Mary for the triumph of the Immaculate Heart of Mary and the glorious reign of Emmanuel. To spread this initiative, we have opened membership to all who would like to join. Uniting our hearts to our Lord Jesus and His Mother Mary requires a commitment to attain this union. We gain strength from heaven as well as from others who share the same ambition, to grow in holiness and accomplish His Divine Will in our lives. Please consider joining us.
Membership in the Miracle of the Rosary Mission is composed of 3 levels of participation. These are: Active, General and Associate. All who are Knights of Emmanuel are automatically associate members. Members are asked to be faithful in their commitment to certain requirements for their particular level of membership. These activities are to be incorporated into daily life. However, it must be remembered that these activities are meant to assist us in growing in holiness and satisfying the duties of one's state in life according to the will of God and not meant to detract from, interfere with, or keep one from fulfilling these obligations. These demands are to help assure us that all things are done in Christ, through Him, with Him, and in Him, in the unity of the Holy Spirit to the glory of God the Father. Simply stated, a member is asked to fulfill all the obligations assumed by their level of membership, but if the demands and circumstances of daily life make it difficult or impossible to undertake any of these, a member has not neglected in his duty. These requirements are to be an aid not a burden. No guilt is implied and certainly no sin is committed when a member is unable to undertake or complete any activity of their level of membership while fulfilling the duties of their state in life as best as they can with the help of God's grace.

The following chart depicts the composition of each level of membership for one's examination. Please take the time to review this information carefully and consider joining us. In the Hearts of Jesus and Mary, I remain

Yours in Christ,

The Miracle of the Rosary Mission is an organization formed to respond to the request of the Mother of God made known at apparition sites acknowledged and approved by holy Mother Church and by the Vicar of Christ, Pope Benedict XVI.

Act of Consecration

Perhaps the single greatest response of a member is the Act of Consecration. The Act of Consecration is not a prayer but an act of will. Through the Act of Consecration a person of their own free will consciously decides for God and entrusts the living of a virtuous life according to the will of God to Mary, Mother of God, Mother of the Church, and our most loving and merciful mother. There are some aspects of the Act of Consecration that deserve clarification. The Act of Consecration with 33 days preparation by Saint Louis De Montfort is the principle Act of Consecration desired of all members within the first year of membership. The short or daily-form is the most common Act of Consecration used; however, any Act of Consecration with ecclesiastical approval may be used for the daily Act of Consecration.

Brown Scapular

The Brown Scapular of Our Lady of Mount Carmel is closely connected with the Act of Consecration. It is a sign of our Act of Consecration, of having decided for God and by living a virtuous life according to the teachings of the Roman Catholic Church, to live a life in keeping with Sacred Scripture and Sacred Tradition under the guidance and direction of the Magesterium. The Brown Scapular of our Lady of Mount Carmel is better understood in this perspective when considering 1 Kings 18. "If Yahweh is God, follow Him!" This was the call of the prophet Elijah to the people of his time, words that echo through all generations. We all must decide and choose to know, love, and serve God, OR the world, the flesh, and the devil. Let us decide for God and live in the freedom of His love.

Mass

The Eucharist is "the source and summit of the Christian life", "the efficacious sign and sublime cause of that communion in the divine life and that unity of the People of God by which the Church is kept in being. It is the culmination both of God's action sanctifying the world in Christ and of the worship men offer to Christ and through him to the Father in the Holy Spirit.", "the sum and summary of our faith." The Catechism of the Catholic Church.
Our very being and existence in time and eternity, all we think, say, do, and experience in life, are to be united with the sacrifice of Christ, offered and united daily with the holy sacrifice of Mass throughout the world for love of God, and the sanctification and salvation of souls.

Reconciliation and Penance

All members are called to approach the Sacrament of Conversion, the Sacrament of Penance, the Sacrament of Confession, the Sacrament of Forgiveness, the Sacrament of Reconciliation.
The Sacrament of Conversion, because it makes sacramentally present Jesus' call to conversion, the first step in returning to the Father from whom one has strayed by sin.
The Sacrament of Penance, since it consecrates the Christian sinner's personal and ecclesial steps of conversion, penance, and satisfaction.
The Sacrament of Confession, since the disclosure or confessing of sins to a priest is an essential element of this sacrament. In a profound sense it is also a "confession" - acknowledgment and praise - of the holiness of God and of his mercy toward sinful man.
The Sacrament of Forgiveness, since by the priest's sacramental absolution God grants the penitent "pardon and peace."
The Sacrament of Reconciliation, because it imparts to the sinner the life of God who reconciles: "Be reconciled to God." He who lives by God's merciful love is ready to respond to the Lord's call: "Go; first be reconciled to your brother." The Catechism of the Catholic Church.

Eucharistic Adoration

The Church and the world have a great need for Eucharistic worship. Jesus awaits us in this sacrament of love. Let us not refuse the time to go to meet him in adoration, in contemplation full of faith, and open to making amends for the serious offenses and crimes of the world. Let our adoration never cease. John Paul II, Dominicae cenae

Rosary

Through the rosary of Mary, we mediate upon the life of Christ and through the tender supplication of His mother obtain the graces needed to imitate the virtues contained therein, thus enabling us to live a life of heroic virtue and persevere in building the Kingdom of God on earth.

Fasting

The perfect fast is to fast from sin. All other fasts help bring us to that one perfect fast. Abstaining from meat, fasting on bread and water, refraining from smoking, gossiping, etc. help us to discipline our wills and strengthen our resolves. Thus, in time of temptation we are enabled to decide for God and reject that which is contrary to His way of love.
"All members of the Christian faithful in their own way are bound to do penance in virtue of divine law; in order that all may be joined in a common observance of penance, penitential days are prescribed in which the Christian faithful in a special way pray, exercise works of piety and charity, and deny themselves by fulfilling their responsibilities more faithfully and especially by observing fast and abstinence according to the norm of the following canons." Canon 1249
"All Fridays through the year and the time of Lent are penitential days and times throughout the universal Church." Canon 1250
"Self-imposed observance of fasting on all weekdays of Lent is strongly recommended. Abstinence from meat on other Fridays of the year is recommended, but not required. Also recommended on all Fridays of the year is prayer, penance(especially by eating less food), and almsgiving for the sake of world peace." National Conference of Catholic Bishops

Bible

Christians should turn with renewed interest to the Bible, "whether it be through the liturgy, rich in the divine word, or through devotional reading, or through instructions suitable for the purpose and other aids." Tertio Millennio Adveniente

Catechism of the Catholic Church

John Paul II said "In addition, it is desirable for each family to have a copy of the Catechism of the Catholic Church, because it is a sure guide in religious education and in life according to the faith" Vatican Information Service.
Preparation for the Great Jubilee is the opportune moment for a renewed appreciation of catechesis in its original meaning as "the apostles' teaching"…, a detailed study of the Catechism of the Catholic Church will prove of great benefit, for the catechism presents "faithfully and systematically … the teaching of Sacred Scripture, the living tradition of the Church and the authentic magisterium, as well as the spiritual heritage of the fathers, doctors and saints of the church, to allow for a better knowledge of the Christian mystery and for enlivening the faith of the people of God." Tertio Millennio Adveniente

Holy Spirit Chaplet

The chaplet of the Holy Spirit helps us to recall the virtues we are called to live and through the intercession of Mary, the beloved spouse of the Holy Spirit, and obtain the fruits and gifts of the Holy Spirit.

Saint Michael Chaplet

Through the chaplet of Saint Michael we are reminded of the celestial assistance provided us and invoke the assistance of the celestial choirs.

Divine Mercy Chaplet

The chaplet of Divine Mercy reminds us of the unfathomable mercy of God. While praying we ponder the words spoken by our dear Lord to Blessed Sister Faustina, meditate on the corporal and spiritual works of mercy, and seek to obtain the grace to be merciful in and through our own lives.

Way of the Cross

Christian prayer loves to follow the way of the cross in the Savior's steps. The stations from the Praetorium to Golgotha and the tomb trace the way of Jesus, who by his holy Cross has redeemed the world. The Catechism of the Catholic Church.

Liturgy of the Hours

[27] Gatherings of the laity - for prayer, apostolic work or any other reason - are encouraged to fulfill the Church's office by celebrating part of the Liturgy of the Hours. The laity must learn, especially in liturgical actions, how to adore God the Father in spirit and in truth, and be reminded that through public worship and prayer they are in touch with all mankind and can contribute in no small degree to the salvation of the whole world.
Finally, it is desirable that the family, the domestic sanctuary of the Church, should not only pray together to God but should also celebrate some parts of the Liturgy of the Hours as occasion offers, so as to enter more deeply into the life of the Church.
